Okay, turning grey now. A heat sensitive disc. I have alot of CD's in my collection, but have never encountered one of these. Now I'm even more smitten with it.

Just burnt the disc to iTunes as I typed that last message, opened the drive and the disc has turned white, with black lettering! Like a magic trick! Is this some sort of copyright protection to prevent people form burning and returning?

Had to order this off e-bay due to its limited availability in other territories. Glad I did as its a nice package although my CD is entirely black and looks like there was a printing fault with it. Did anybody else encounter this? Obviously I have no way of returning it :0(

I thought it was a vinyl deluxe package, too. I ordered it within hours of the announcement and the pic wasn't signed, much less numbered. Very disappointing.

Yo I got my UPS in the morning on the release date and it was signed. Very happy because this the only reason why I ordered the deluxe version, otherwise I would have just ordered the vinyl. Unfortunately the autographed lithograph is not numbered so don't how many people got one, but the hardbound book is very cool.

I have been a loyal Keys fan from the release of The Big Come Up and I'm really sad and disappointed that no vinyl came with the deluxe bundle. I listen to all my Black Keys stuff on vinyl because it imparts the raw blues vibe the Keys do so well. I always wait on pins and needles to rip open and play new TBK on vinyl and now I can't. I misunderstood the Deluxe bundle. I wanted the vinyl.

Just received the Special Edition from UPS. Ordered 2 weeks back and no autograph litho with my set. I'm starting to wonder how many actually got out. Getting the case of buyer's remorse, this set is just nothing that special, especially for the $40 + shipping price tag. A missed opportunity in my opinion, I will probably send mine back for refund.

I love the Black Keys and from what I have heard of the new album I am quite excited... But no vinyl?? and $40 really?? I would be simply ecstatic if there was any way to pre-order the record on vinyl, without all the extra bonuses

I would have bought this if it were vinyl & not CD. Not that it would seem to matter, because I'm in New Zealand and can't buy it anyway! (I haven't bothered to check the JB HiFi Aus site...)

there isn't a vinyl deluxe edition. just this one with the cd. the book is a limited edition photo book filled with photos taken by the band's manager - live shots, studio shots, intimate behind the scenes shots - and the cd is a nice bonus.
