Have seen u guy too many times to watch this happen, i understand u gotta pay the bills but the CWM Pavallion is more like a concentration camp than a venue and Kings of Leon, seriously dudes superwack!!! Gonna take more than that to lose me but not much more. Please please dont sell out.

Yes I am crazy BMACSMITH u puss! I agree Warehouse is lame but im not from houston im in Baton Rouge, thats right im one of the lucky citys who will get to see the Black Keys at a Black Keys show, not warming up for some 30 year old men singing suburban white girl lyrics (KoL) by the way what a gay way to abreviate. Is being gorgeous what makes a good venue?? The Pavallion is shit, all it is there for is profit, pack as many in and charge as much as possible! Ride ur ass down to N.O. and come see a real Keys set, House of Blues in front of only 1000 people there just to see them not a pack of pre teens screaming about how there sex is on fire, be sure to hit up the mall that owns the pavallion and get yourself a Abercrombi & Fitch G-string FRUITCAKE. Its The Black Keys not Michale Jackson douche bag, and as for the sell out comment, I just view these guys as extremely talented people and i just dont want them going down the same road that so many others have, where they lose that edge they have now!

@BringItDownSouth: A "real" Keys show, at where? The House of Blues? Haha... yep, when I want real authentic roots music, the only place I go is a national corporation owned restaurant co-founded by Dan Akroyd, you know, from the Ghost Busters. Baffling.

If you just want some place dirty, go see them at the outdoor stage at Emos Austin, then you can really pretend like the uber-hip underground fan you so clearly want to be.

Anyway, The Black Keys couldn't be sellouts even if they played the American Idol season Finale, while Dave sings a duet with Lady Gaga. They are a fucking force of nature. =)

Jesus, dude, "please don't sell out... the Pavilion is only there for profit..." So f**king what? Personally, I WANT the band to make money. That way they can make a living while making music that I totally love. I think it's great that they don't have to hold down two jobs and tour in a grungy POS van that they bought off craigslist. I first heard them back when they were recording on the Fat Possum label and I was terrified that they'd have to quit and get regular jobs because they were going broke. If you want to only see bands that play in crappy little clubs in front of 300 people and "keep it real", then be my guest. I'll go see bands I like wherever they play, even if it's a place that's -gasp- owned by a MALL.

Just to clear some apparent confusion and offer my two cents...
The Woodlands Pavilion used to be owned by the Woodlands Corp. this no longer the fact. After hurricane Rita damaged the facility it was sold to Live Nation. Live Nation having merged with Ticketmaster are now the tyrannical owners of this once great venue. Live Nation before debuting the repaired and renovated facility added 13,000 new seats which in turn took away half of the grassy hill which in my humble opinion was the best feature of this venue. Sure, if you are a "Technical Sound" person you could get a seat close to the band or maybe a more "Intimate" venue would please you more. For me, kicking back on the grass and socializing with the crowd and being part of a musical event that was bigger then myself was just a groovy experience. If you didn't like this venue before you would like it even less now, $8 beers and a hill that is so small the law watches vigilantly can make for a bad experience with some shows. How much you enjoy something has more to do with your attitude then the surroundings, some people can have fun and enjoy themselves no matter where they are, some people wouldn't enjoy or be happy no matter where they are, the more negative and poisonous people stay home the more fun I have when I go out!! Have fun and enjoy the music everyone, thanks for coming to Houston Black Keys!

The Woodlands is not owned by Live Nation, unless the change happened this month. If it were a live nation venue they would have been included in the fee free month of June, but they were not. And there is nothing on the website referring to it as a Live Nation owned venue. The woodlands is actually a non profit venue too. that is all.
